In anticipation of the upcoming monsoon season, all members of the public are requested to take immediate precautionary measures to ensure safety and prevent potential hazards.
Key Instructions:
Prune Hazardous Trees: Identify and cut down dangerous trees or weak branches within your property that risk snapping or getting uprooted during heavy rains and strong winds.
Check Proximity to Power Lines & Houses: Pay special attention to trees and branches growing close to residential buildings or overhead electricity lines, and clear them immediately.
Follow Local Guidelines: Strictly adhere to all safety instructions and advisories issued by your local Grama Panchayat / Local Self-Government.
⚖️ Legal Statutory Warning (Disaster Management Act)
Property owners must proactively remove any hazardous trees on their private land at their own expense and responsibility to prevent casualties or property damage during monsoon-related calamities.
If any dangerous trees or branches on private property cause harm to human life or damage to property due to negligence, the respective landowner shall be held solely responsible.
Failure to comply will invite strict legal accountability, and the landowner will be held liable for all losses and damages under Section 30(2)(v) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005.
